Art therapy is for everyone! There are no expectations to create “perfect” art. The good, the bad, and the ugly are all parts of life, and therefore welcomed expressions within our art!
The focus in art therapy is on the process, and not the final product. -
Clients participate in art therapy anywhere from 6-12 sessions. Goals will be created accordingly, dependent on the needs of the client.

The art created in sessions is determined by the interests of the client and the goals established during initial assessment. Common materials used during sessions include: painting, drawing, sculpture, sensory exploration, writing, clay, etc.

Please send an email expressing interest in an art therapy session. From there, you will receive a self-referral form to be completed prior to the first session. Once the referral form is completed, you and the art therapist will schedule your first session.

Payment can be made via e-transfer or cash. Services are not covered by OHIP; however, if you have an extended health insurance plan through an insurance company such as Green Shield, Manulife, Sunlife, or Great-West Life, then you may have a designated amount per year for psychotherapy services. Consult your insurance company to see if you have coverage for psychotherapy (RP). Please contact your insurance provider to see if these services are covered. A receipt will be issued as requested for your records and possible reimbursement.
